Am working on a new product with a partner in Australia. The hardest part is finding the time with the time zone difference between California (me) and Australia (her) to get on Skype. So, it’s kind of slow going but I’m sure we’ll get into more of a pattern when we get further along. In the new product we will teach simplified blogging and affiliate marketing to people who aren’t techy and don’t want to (or think they can’t) become techy.
We’ll have videos showing people exactly what to do to get set up and then how to blog and get their affiliate marketing going. It’s pretty exciting. What I’m doing right now is refreshing my memory about what and how to get the url, hosting, WordPress theme, plugins, etc. setup.
To help me I am using the url and header/logo that I had gotten for my brother’s and my company (Right Line Putting) to sell a training video of a putting secret that he had developed. We have a wonderful sales video for it and the training video is Great! but we stalled out a little over a year ago and we’ve been thinking about getting it going again. Always good to have double the motivation to relearn and kick off.
The next skill to learn and become expert at is making the videos for each of the steps. I know that it will take a number of video samples to get a good product and I’m trying to figure out how to do it without having to sign up multiple times with the hosting company – don’t want to run up too big of a bill at the beginning either. Have to talk to my partner and see what she has to say about it. Maybe I’ll just make some videos of the RLP website changes and learn on that since no one is watching that blog site.
Let me know if you have any good ideas for how to come up to speed fast on any/all of this. Also, leave me a comment if you want to hear more about the our new product for blogging/affiliate marketing or the old golf training product…
